About Melbourne Premium Journey
Melbourne Premium Journey Pty Ltd was established in 2026 by three partners. One of them has run a chauffeur business in Melbourne for more than ten years. We are based on Toorak Road in South Yarra.
We do one thing: we drive people, properly. Airport transfers, private day tours from Melbourne, corporate and event transport, and multi-day journeys that cross state borders. Every trip is booked in advance, quoted at a fixed all-inclusive price, and driven by an accredited driver in a vehicle registered for the job.
We are a booked chauffeur service
Not a taxi company, and not a rideshare platform. Every journey is arranged in advance, with a named driver and a vehicle chosen for the trip.
Airport transfers
Melbourne & Avalon, 24/7Both airports, in both directions. We track your flight and meet you inside the terminal with a name board. Waiting time is included: 90 minutes on international arrivals and 60 on domestic, measured from when your aircraft lands rather than from the time it was scheduled to.
Private day tours

Multi-day journeys

Accredited drivers, registered vehicles
This is the part most people never think to ask about, and it is the part that actually separates a legitimate operator from someone with a nice car and a phone.
Every MPJ driver holds a commercial passenger vehicle driver accreditation issued by Safe Transport Victoria, the state’s transport safety regulator. Accreditation is not a formality. It requires police and background checks, and those checks do not stop once the accreditation is granted — Safe Transport Victoria receives real-time updates from Victoria Police, and a driver who no longer meets the standard can be suspended or removed from the industry. While a commercial passenger vehicle is in service, the driver’s blood alcohol limit is 0.00, not the 0.05 that applies to ordinary drivers.
Every vehicle we operate is registered with Safe Transport Victoria as a commercial passenger vehicle and is inspected every twelve months by a licensed vehicle tester.
Both of these are public records. Safe Transport Victoria maintains a public register, and if you ever want to check an accreditation you can look the number up yourself. We will give you the number.
We mention this because unaccredited operators taking private airport work are a real problem in Melbourne, and because the difference is invisible from the kerb. It is not invisible in the records.
We carry $20 million in public liability insurance. A certificate of currency is available on request.

Where we drive
Melbourne and the whole of Victoria is home ground — we are based on Toorak Road, South Yarra, and the inner south-east is where we work every day.
Beyond Victoria, we drive interstate as multi-day journeys: across to Adelaide and the Barossa, up the coast to Sydney and Brisbane, and through the centre to Uluṟu and on to Darwin. These are planned with you rather than sold as packages, and your driver and vehicle stay with you for the whole trip.
How we quote
We quote; we do not meter. Every trip is priced as a single fixed, all-inclusive figure before you travel. Tolls and GST are included. There is no surge pricing, no night loading and no public holiday surcharge, and traffic does not change the number.
We do not publish rates, because almost nothing we do is a standard trip — the right price depends on the vehicle, the route, the hours and, on multi-day journeys, the whole itinerary. Send us the details and you will get a real number, not a range.
Day tours can be cancelled free of charge more than 24 hours ahead; inside 24 hours, half the fee applies. Tours run in all weather, and if an attraction is closed by its operator we will reschedule at no cost. Multi-day journeys are quoted individually and have their own deposit and cancellation terms, which are different from our day tour terms and are set out in your itinerary and quote before you confirm anything.
